"As we continue to grow our platform, we're updating our Premium pricing so we can continue to innovate in changing market conditions," said a statement on the company's website. Spotify has increased the price of all its Premium apps by $1.

Existing users have been notified by email before the price increase. Individual plans now cost $10.99 per month. The monthly rate for the duo plan for two accounts is now $14.99, the family plan for six accounts is $16.99, and the student plan is $5.99.

"We also offer a free, ad-supported service that lets you stay connected to your favorite music, podcasts, and access all your saved songs, playlists, and podcasts," the statement said.
