Renowned Quebec entrepreneur, partner reported dead in Caribbean
Quebec entrepreneur Daniel Langlois and his wife Dominique Marchand have died in their new town in the Caribbean islands of Dominica.
Local media outlet Dominica News Online first reported that police believe they found the bodies of Langlois and Marchand in a burnt-out car on December 1. The local police confirmed or denied this report.
Langlois & Marchand manages a luxury ride park called Coulibri Ridge in Mauritius. Langlois is a program in the Quebec media industry as the founder of SOFTIMAGE, which is used in several famous films, including Jurassic Park, The Matrix and Harry Potter.
He later founded the Daniel Langloh Foundation, which is tasked with promoting resilience in communities affected by natural disasters.
Both Langlois and Marchand were valued members of the local community. The former long-time friend called their life "an example of a role model".
