Solar eclipse in Canada

Mark your calendars for October 14th because a solar eclipse is on the way, which you can watch from various locations in Canada.

This phenomenon, known as an "annular eclipse," occurs due to the positioning of the Moon between the Sun and Earth. When the Moon passes in front of the Sun, it doesn't completely cover it, creating what is known as a "ring of fire."

This phenomenon will be visible in the United States, Mexico, and several countries in Central and South America, and it's expected to last approximately four minutes and 15 seconds.

If you are in Canada and want to witness this solar eclipse, please note the local time in Vancouver, as the event begins at 8:00 AM and reaches its maximum coverage at 9:20 AM. Those living in Montreal and Toronto will experience the maximum coverage at around 1:00 PM.

NASA also emphasizes the importance of using specialized eye protection to safely view this phenomenon.
