Bull on the loose forces highway closure in Abbotsford, B.C.
On Saturday, August 16, Highway 11 in Abbotsford was closed in both directions for about an hour after a stray bull was found in the roadway.
Abbotsford police announced on social media at 1 p.m. that emergency services were on scene to maintain public safety and had closed the section between McCallum and Bateman streets.
Police asked drivers to avoid the area to allow emergency vehicles to clear the way.
About an hour later, police said the bull had been tranquilized by a local veterinarian and was unharmed. The highway was fully reopened after the bull was moved onto a trailer.
