Several Canadians are among the richest people in the world

According to Forbes' 2024 World Billionaires List, which ranks the richest people on the planet, we found out that many of them live precisely in Canada. According to Forbes, there are now 2,781 billionaires worldwide, an increase of 141 over last year. The third richest Canadian billionaire is David Cheriton, known as "Billionaire Professor". Forbes noted that Cheriton is a professor emeritus at Stanford University and made his fortune after an early investment in Google. He is ranked 156th in the world list with 12.6 billion dollars.

After Cheriton, the famous Canadian tycoon Jim Pattison ranks 263rd in the world with $9.3 billion. Pattison makes several investments, including advertising, entertainment and food.

Another famous name on the list is Chip Wilson, the founder of lululemon, who is ranked 403rd in the world with a net worth of $6.8 billion.

As for the world's richest billionaires, Bernard Arnaud and his family have taken the top spot with a net worth of $233 billion.

Elon Musk ($195 billion), Jeff Bezos ($194 billion) and Mark Zuckerberg ($177 billion) also top the list.
