The federal government's new plan for dental benefits
Canadian federal government officials have announced that the dental insurance program will be launched from May 2024. This program will start early next week and will be implemented with the registration of qualified seniors.
The plan is a $13 billion insurance program that, starting next year, will cover routine dental costs for people who qualify based on their income.
The number of eligible individuals will gradually expand throughout the year, and all eligible seniors over the age of 65 can enroll by May 2024. Then it is the turn of children under 18 and people with disabilities to register until June.
Families with an annual income below $90,000 are eligible for these benefits.
