According to Jada Pinkett Smith, she and her husband Will Smith have been living completely separately since 2016. This couple, both of whom are actors, got married in 1997 and have not officially divorced, although Pinkett Smith stated in an interview on the Today show that their separation is not legally considered a divorce.
They have two children named Willow and Jaden, as well as a son named Trey from Will Smith's previous marriage. The news of their separation has been surprising to many, especially considering Pinkett Smith's candidness in the Red Table Talk series.
In one episode of the series, she and her husband discussed their relationship outside of marriage in 2020 and the infamous incident involving Smith and Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars.
In a recent interview with People magazine, Jada Pinkett Smith said, "When I first encountered this situation, I thought it might be some kind of a show or a joke!"
