The fast lane of Toronto's 401 Freeway is closed following a fiery crash
A section of Highway 401 in Toronto was closed on a busy Thursday morning due to a fiery collision between two trucks. According to the Toronto Fire Department, around 6:15 am, following a collision between two tractor-trailers on the express lanes heading east, one of the trucks caught fire.
Emergency teams are currently at the scene working to contain the fire. Fire department authorities have stated that only the front portion of the truck is on fire, and not the trailer. The eastbound lanes of Highway 401 from Allen Road to Avenue Road are closed, and the reopening time of the highway is currently uncertain.
