Waterloo Region is getting into the festive spirit as it prepares for the Christkindl and Hanukkah Market
As the holiday season approaches, downtown Kitchener is buzzing with festive preparations.
The city is set to host the annual Christkindle market from December 7.
This year, the market is scheduled to include City Hall, Carl Zehr Square, and various locations along King Street.
Visitors to the market can expect a variety of activities, including a virtual scavenger hunt, a life-size candy field and a holiday train.
In addition to Christmas celebrations, Waterloo Region is also gearing up to celebrate Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights.
A menorah lighting ceremony is scheduled for Dec. 13 outside Cambridge City Hall, followed by a separate celebration at Kitchener City Hall the following day, Dec. 14.
