Buckingham Palace released this year's Christmas card
Buckingham Palace has released an image of the Christmas card that King Charles III and Queen Camilla will be sending this year. According to Buckingham Palace, the card features a photo taken in the throne room at Buckingham Palace after the monarch's coronation on May 6 this year. King Charles is wearing a gold-embroidered purple silk velvet dress worn by King George VI in 1937.
Queen Camilla wears a long white dress designed and hand-embroidered by the Royal School of Needlework. The card is the second of its kind to be issued by the palace and the first to feature King Charles as monarch. The 2022 Christmas card, released five days before Queen Elizabeth II's death, featured a photo of King Charles, still Prince of Wales, and his wife.
The Prince and Princess of Wales also shared a Christmas photo of their family, featured in their Christmas card, showing them with their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in Windsor.
