Health Canada has issued a turkey recall for the western provinces
With only two days left until Thanksgiving, the Canadian Ministry of Health has issued a recall for Sunrise Farms Young Turkey brand due to non-harmful microbial contamination and the possibility of spoilage. This recall was posted on the government's website on Saturday and states that these products have been sold in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. However, the specific dates of sale are not mentioned.
Canadian citizens are urged not to use the recalled product and not to sell it to others. Both Sobeys and Safeway chain stores have also posted the recall notices on their websites and advised customers who have purchased this turkey to return to the store for a full refund. The best-before date for this product has been extended until October 11, 2023.
