Waterloo City Council approves major construction project
Another dramatic change is coming to Waterloo after city council approved a major construction project.
The project, slated for the Krause Flooring Factory site on West Conestoga Avenue, promises to dramatically increase the local housing supply.
The scope of this project includes twelve tall towers that will add more than 3300 residential units to the city.
These towers vary in height from 18 to 35 stories, making them one of the prominent features of Waterloo.
This approval is a step towards fulfilling the city's commitment to meet its housing needs.
Waterloo plans to build 16,000 new housing units by 2031, making this project a major step in that direction.
