Stolen pickup accident with tractor trailer and theft of another car
Two lanes of Highway 400 in King Township were closed after a stolen pickup collided with two tractor-trailers. The crash happened at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday in the northbound lanes one kilometer south of Lloydtown-Aurora Road.
According to Ontario Provincial Police, the driver of the stolen vehicle was driving erratically before the crash, which caused extensive damage to the right guardrail.
After the crash, several people stopped to help when the driver and passenger of the pickup stole one of the people's vehicles and fled northbound on the 400 Freeway. The second stolen car is a light gray Honda Fit.
The male and female suspects are described as black and between 20 and 30 years old. The male suspect is approximately six feet tall with a stocky build.
