Ontario's provincial plan for 2025 is fully completed.
Ontario Provincial Nominee Program (OINP) 2025 Capacity Fully Filled
Ontario has officially announced that the province’s Provincial Nominee Program (OINP) 2025 capacity has been filled, with all 10,750 nominations issued this year. The news comes in a new announcement from the Ontario government, indicating that the provincial program has reached its annual cap ahead of schedule.
Despite the 2025 capacity closing, the Ontario government has announced that all new applications, as well as previously submitted applications, will continue to be processed, but their final results will be issued under the 2026 nomination quota. Officials have emphasized that filling the capacity does not mean that the review process has stopped, and that the immigration process for applicants will continue as usual.
According to officials, applicants should note that filling the annual capacity is a common occurrence in provincial programs, and moving files to the next year’s quota will not disrupt the immigration process. The Ontario government will continue to review applications, issue new invitations in a timely manner, and manage the applicant pool to meet capacity through 2026.
This announcement is particularly important for those who are currently submitting applications or whose applications are in the review pool, as it indicates that their application has not been suspended and the assessment process is still active, but the final outcome will be implemented next year.
