Spirit Airlines has apologized after putting a six-year-old on the wrong flight
A US airline has apologized after it mistakenly put a six-year-old boy on the wrong flight, sending him more than 160 miles away from his family. The child was supposed to fly from Philadelphia International Airport to Southwest International Airport. Florida in Fort Myers but instead, he had mistakenly boarded a plane bound for Orlando.
In a statement, Spirit Airlines announced that the boy was under the care and supervision of an airline employee the whole time, and the airline informed the child's family as soon as it realized its mistake. The child's grandmother, Maria Ramos, then She shared her problem with WINK News from the landing of the plane where the child was originally supposed to be. Mrs. Ramos told WINK News: "I ran to the flight attendant and asked him, where is my grandson?" He was delivered to you in Philadelphia? The flight attendant said, 'No, I didn't pick up a child.'" His grandson then called him from the Orlando airport and said he had landed at the wrong destination. The airline apologized to the child's family for the unpleasant experience.
