Special weather warning for metropolitan Toronto due to 40 mm of rain
A special weather warning has been issued for Toronto and metropolitan Toronto as they brace for significant rain late Friday. Environment Canada issued a special weather warning for Toronto Thursday afternoon, warning of 20 to 40 millimeters of rain through Saturday. He also noted that the rainfall in some areas may be more than the stated amounts. This warning covers areas across southern Ontario.
"A low pressure system will bring widespread rain to southern Ontario this weekend," the weather agency said. "Rain will begin late Friday in southwestern Ontario and move eastward overnight."
The rain is expected to be very heavy on Saturday and continue for most of the day. This will be followed by a sudden drop in temperatures on Sunday, with a forecast high of 1C for the day, which will feel around minus 5C with a wind chill in Toronto. Next week we will face warming weather so that on Monday and Tuesday we will experience maximum temperature of 9 and 11 degrees Celsius.
