One person dead in Midland house fire
A man died in a house fire in Midland early Saturday morning.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), neighbors noticed the flames coming from the house and broke down the front door to enter the house and then alerted the emergency services.
Police officers confirmed that a 39-year-old man was inside the house, who was found in the garage of this one-story house.
This man was taken to the hospital by emergency, but unfortunately the doctors confirmed his death.
Police said there were no signs of foul play. However, the cause of the fire and the person's death are under investigation. The Ontario Fire Marshal's Office and Coroner's Office will conduct an investigation. An autopsy will also be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
