First held in 2020, the free Lights On Stratford winter festival returns to the beautiful city of Stratford, Ontario.
The festival will be held in Downtown until January 13, 2024.
During the festival, downtown Stratford will be transformed with brilliant art and interactive light installations.
The theme of this year's festival is emergence. This word is derived from the Latin root "Bring to Light" and means to make something appear in a dark and lightless place.
One of the sections of the festival is the "Dandelion" section of Dandelion, which was introduced earlier this year at Vivid Sydney, one of the world's most prominent light festivals. This section came from Australia to Canada to participate in the Lights On Stratford festival.
In this program, the audience is transported to an imaginary and hopeful world using different dandelions that are inspired by ivy petals and are actually a modern animation.
Another light installation of this festival is SPACE ISLAND, which displays the solar system and planets in an exciting way.
