Calgary police: Man dead, 2 in custody after Temple Drive incident
A man was killed Tuesday in a hit-and-run in Northeast Temple.
Emergency crews were called to the area of Temple Drive and 58 Street/Templemont Drive N.E.
At about 12:30 p.m., a pedestrian was reportedly struck by a vehicle.
Police said in a statement that "two drivers are believed to have been involved in the incident, which resulted in the death of one driver."
Officers are trying to determine the events leading up to the death.
A video of the incident has been obtained, which appears to be a case of road violence.
Security footage shows the scene of the altercation, as a red car pulls up and then appears to back out and hit the man who had gotten out of his pickup truck.
Police said two people were arrested and there is no threat to public safety.
