A person fell from the Leaside Bridge onto a car on the Don Valley Parkway.

A man has died following a heartbreaking incident early Sunday. According to Toronto police, the man fell from the Leaside Bridge and onto a car on the Don Valley Parkway (DVP).

As a result of this incident, one of the occupants of the car was injured and was taken to the hospital due to the severity of the injuries.

The police were dispatched to the scene shortly before noon on Sunday. The details of this incident and the cause of this man's fall are still unknown and the police are investigating this matter further.

The northbound lane of DVP Expressway from Bayview Avenue and Bloor Avenue to Don Mills was closed for further investigation. All freeway entrance ramps from the Gardiner Expressway to Bayview and Bloor were also blocked. These routes were reopened after about 4 hours, at 4 pm.

Police ask drivers to drive carefully and stay away from the accident site. The investigation into this incident is still ongoing.
