Kingsville Migration Festival


This year marks the 54th annual Migration Fall Festival weekend. Kingsville welcomes the community to a celebration of migration, heritage, nature conservation and Jack Miner. Jack Miner Bird Sanctuary is also hosting various activities, such as a maze, a car show slow roll, and much more.

Great Migration Paint Out: The Great Migration Paint Out” is a four-day “en Plein air” painting competition starting October 19, 2023. The Great Migration Paint Out entries will be on display at the Grovedale Arts & Culture Center for judging and many will be available for purchase. Meet the artists and vote for your favorite piece for the People's Choice Award, while enjoying music, finger food from the Kingsville Lions Club, and a cash bar. Award presentations begin at 4:00 pm.

The Great Migration Kick-Off Party: Friday, October 20, 2023, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Grovedale Arts & Culture Center

Come help kick-off this year's Migration Fall Festival with food, drinks and live music. The kick-off will be at the Grovedale Arts & Culture Center, 103 Park Street. Tickets will be available to purchase in advance at the Kingsville Arena, or can be purchased at the door of the event.

Parade: Saturday, October 21, 2023, 10:00 am at Kingsville Downtown (Wigle Avenue, Main Street East, Division Road South)

The parade will run north up Wigle Avenue, turn west onto Main Street, turn south onto Division Road, and end at Lakeside Park.

Children's Activities: Various activities for children will be started at Lions Park and the Kingsville OPP Station after the Parade. Jack Miner's Migratory Bird Sanctuary is also running activities.

Creative Mode Arts Center: Join the team from Creative Mode for some musical fun! Play exciting instruments, play some freeze dance, and more!

Kingsville OPP Station:

Join the Kingsville Community Policing Committee on the front lawn of the OPP Station for some pumpkin carving!

Migration Festival Marketplace: Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Grovedale Arts and Culture Center from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

We will have a Migration Fall Festival Marketplace on Saturday. Browse unique gifts and crafts and support local vendors.

Historic Bike Tours:

Honkin' Round the Town Bike Tour with Bike Windsor-Essex: Saturday, October 21, 2023, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Join Bike Windsor Essex in the Parade and then for a one hour special Migration Fall Festival bike tour around Kingsville, with stops at Migration Fall Festival sites. The route has on-road and gravel trail sections. Suitable for average and higher level riders. Weather permitting. Free!

Jack Miner & Harvest Bike Tour: Sunday, October 22, 2023, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Approximately 20 km roundtrip. Join Bike Windsor Essex on a special Migration Fall Festival bike tour celebrating the harvest season with stops at farm stands, wineries, and the Jack Miner Migratory Bird Sanctuary in Kingsville. Rides depart from the Carnegie Arts & Visitor Center. Route features on road and gravel trail sections. Suitable for intermediate and higher level riders. Weather permitting. Free!
