A man shot three of his relatives in downtown Toronto, killing two of them

A man shot three of his relatives, killing two of them, in a fight that started at home and spilled onto a busy downtown street Tuesday afternoon, Toronto police said. At noon, they were called to Dundas Street East, in Regent's Park, to reports of shots being fired.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found two men and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. According to police, one man died at the scene and the other man died of his injuries at the hospital. A woman was also taken to the hospital and will be discharged soon.

Shortly after the officers arrived on the scene, the police found a suspect in this connection and started chasing him. Although this pursuit was short, it led to a conflict in which two officers were injured. Meanwhile, the suspect was arrested and a firearm was also recovered at the scene.

Police said the suspect was related to the three victims, but did not specify their relationship.
