1 in 3 Canadians don't know the difference between heart attack and cardiac arrest, poll finds

Even though 50 percent of the Canadian population is affected by heart disease and stroke, few people know enough about their heart health, according to a recent survey by the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
  The survey shows that only a third of the Canadian population knows the difference between a cardiac arrest and a heart attack, and that men and women experience different symptoms during a heart attack.
This is alarming and shows the need for public education about the symptoms and diagnosis of stroke. Everyone should know that stroke symptoms are recognizable and can happen to anyone at any age.
