Following a late-night shooting incident at a nightclub in downtown Hamilton, two individuals are currently hospitalized, one of whom is in critical condition. The police responded to reports of a shooting at Club 77 on King William Street (between John and Catherine Streets) at around 1:45 AM on Monday.
Law enforcement encountered two severely injured 24-year-old individuals at the scene, both of whom were subsequently transported to the hospital.
In a statement, the police reported that the condition of one of the victims has stabilized, but the other remains in critical condition. The police believe that the shooting was a targeted incident, and no suspects have been apprehended yet. Investigators are urging residents and businesses to review their security camera footage and dash-cam videos for any suspicious activity between 1 AM and 2 AM.
