Online dating and robbing a woman in toronto
Toronto police say a man broke into a Scarborough home, handcuffed a woman and stole her property. In this regard, the police accused and arrested him.
It is said that on December 3, the victim met a man on a social media platform and he went to her house. The man pulled out a gun and handcuffed the victim, demanded money and stole his property before fleeing the area, police said.
On December 20, the accused again entered the victim's residence and refused to leave. The man asked the woman for money and ran away. The victim was not injured in this incident. On Tuesday, authorities executed a search warrant at West Bloor Avenue and Spadina Road in connection with the investigation and arrested Benny Ning Zhang, 45, of Toronto.
The accused is facing several charges including robbery, forced imprisonment, extortion and assault with a weapon and other related crimes.
