Several Ontario cities, the best places to live in Canada
In a new ranking of the best places to live in Canada, the province of Ontario topped the list with seven regions.
Real estate listing site Zolo looked at not only housing prices in different cities and counties, but also factors such as median income, crime and unemployment rates, walkability, average number of sunny days per year, access to medical care and other factors.
Among the top ten cities, the first place was awarded to Ottawa, where the average housing price in this city is about $643,000, which is lower than the national average of $696,000.
The second place is assigned to Simcoe & District. The city has a median home price of about $563,000 (less than half of metropolitan Toronto) and a median household income of about $110,000.
Third place goes to Guelph, where a home costs about $821,000 and a household income of about $119,000, but the unemployment rate is just 3.1 percent.
Meanwhile, Berry ranked fourth, Tillsonburg ranked eighth, and Kitchener-Waterloo ranked 10th.
