13-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy accused of armed carjacking in Brampton
Following an armed carjacking in Brampton in which one person was injured with a knife in a high school parking lot, two youths, ages 13 and 16, were arrested and an 11-year-old girl was arrested, who was released from custody due to her young age. Peel District Police announced. This incident happened on February 22, 2024. The four suspects allegedly lured the victim to a high school near Kennedy Street and Queen Street through social media.
When the victim got out of his car, four suspects got out and started threatening him. One of the suspects, who was armed with a knife, took the car keys from the victim, stabbed him in the leg, and then fled the scene with the victim's car along with three other suspects.
An extensive investigation led to the arrest of three youths, including an 11-year-old girl who was released from custody due to her age. A 13-year-old girl from Mississauga and a 16-year-old boy from Brampton were charged with crimes including robbery, assault and bodily harm. Police have issued an arrest warrant for the fourth suspect, a 17-year-old male from Brampton, who is wanted for robbery and assault and battery.
