Recall of 100,000 "air fryers" sold in Canada due to the risk of fire and glass breakage
A recall has been issued for Insignia brand air fryers in Canada, and the reason for this is the overheating of the device and the possibility of the handles melting or the glass breaking, which can lead to a fire. According to Health Canada, the recall includes Insignia Digital Oil-Free Air Fryers, Insignia Analog Oil-Free Air Fryers and Insignia Digital Air Fryer Ovens. The company reported that between September 2021 and November 2023, about 99,903 units of the products were recalled. Target sold in Canada and 183,443 units in the United States.
