Rap megastar Kendrick Lamar will headline the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show

Kendrick Lamar, one of the biggest names in rap, is set to take the stage at the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans. The exciting news was announced by the NFL, Apple Music and Roc Nation.

Lamar, who has 17 Grammy Awards to his credit, also appeared as a guest at halftime of the Super Bowl in 2022. "Rap is still the most influential genre of music and I want to teach everyone why," he said.

The 37-year-old rapper has enjoyed significant success since releasing his debut album in 2012. His albums have won him several Pulitzer Prizes.

Lamar's latest album, 'Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers", was released in 2022 and topped the music charts.

Roc Nation founder Jay-Z described Lamar as a one-of-a-kind artist, saying, "His love for hip-hop and culture has made his work more than just music."

The 2025 Super Bowl halftime show is produced by Roc Nation and Emmy Award-winning producer Jesse Collins. The artistic direction of this performance will be the work of pgLang, Lamar's own creative film.
