Canada has become a measles hotspot, with the disease spreading in Quebec for the first time since 2019, public health officials said Monday.

Quebec Public Health Director Dr. Luc Boileau told reporters there are currently 10 confirmed cases in the province, all in the greater Montreal area.

"The issues are directly related to international travel, there are many other things that are probably related to each other, but we can suspect that some of them are just acquired in the community," he said.
