Nearly half of Ontario hospital workers don't want to go to work
Nearly half of Ontario hospital workers don't want to go to work, and others don't know whether to quit. These figures obtained from the new Nanos survey show that 41% of hospital employees in this province are hesitant to go to work. The CUPE union, which represents some health care workers in Ontario, says the data points to a hospital staffing crisis that could worsen if the Ford government doesn't act.
The statement of this union states: "The acute crisis of shortage of staff in the hospital leads to unprecedented closure of the emergency room, delays in treatments and lower quality of patient care."
