Canada is one of the countries that give the most tips
Although tipping etiquette varies greatly around the world, in North America tipping more than 10% is very generous.
According to research conducted by HelloSafe, Canada is the second-highest tipping country in the world after the United States, where customers tip 20 percent per order.
According to News Kiosk, the average tip rate in Canada is between 15 and 20 percent. Canada is followed by Mexico, where the average tip rate in this country is close to 15%.
The fourth place belongs to Qatar with a tip rate of 10 to 15 percent. After Qatar, the UAE ranks fifth and the average tipping rate is between 10 and 15 percent.
This data comes from TripAdvisor's Tipping Guide, which provides advice on polite tipping around the world.
In Montreal, the tip for good services is at least 15% and for excellent services, it is 20%.
