Air quality statement issued for Toronto amid scorching temperatures, muggy conditions
Due to the extreme heat, the opening hours of 10 outdoor pools in Toronto have been extended. This action follows the heat warning issued by Environment Canada.
The heat wave, which started on Monday and will continue till Thursday, will increase the air temperature between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius and, including humidity, between 40 and 45 degrees Celsius.
At night, the air will not be much cooler and the minimum temperature will be between 20 and 23 degrees Celsius, which, including humidity, will feel between 26 and 30 degrees Celsius.
