Small plane makes emergency landing near Brantford, Ont

A small plane lost engine power and had to make an emergency landing Friday evening near Brantford, Ont.
Emergency crews were called to Governors Road, west of King George Road, around 5:50 p.m.
Brantford police said no injuries were reported and the plane was damaged.
The Ontario Provincial Police added that the plane had a "mechanical problem".
The road was closed for a while because it hit a power line. Grandbridge Energy has said that Hydroen crews will make repairs. At 7 p.m., they reported that more than 1,200 customers were without power. As of 8 p.m., Gurdbridge Energy said service had been restored. Police have contacted nearby airports and are expected to notify Transport Canada.
