Elon Musk's NoraLink is now accepting Canadian patients

Elon Musk's Neuralink company is now accepting applications from Canadian patients who are interested in receiving the company's experimental technology; Neuralink is an American company in the field of neuron technology or neural technology that produces brain-computer interface chips. On Saturday, Neuralink announced that its patient enrollment is now open to Canadian applicants.

For this, the Canadian must be over 18 years of age and have problems such as quadriplegia, paraplegia, vision loss, hearing loss, inability to speak, and/or amputation. Neuralink, patients with brain chip implants can operate a computer or smartphone (including the ability to make phone calls, surf the web, and play online games) with only intellectual control.

According to the startup's website, this implant is surgically placed in the patient's brain by a robot.

The FDA gave Neuralink the green light to conduct its first human trial in September 2023. The Neuralink brain chip is called "Telepathy".

In addition to the chip's current ability to work with a computer or smartphone, Musk has said he hopes the chip will one day help patients regain movement in their limbs.
