Above seasonal temperatures expected throughout your weekend
You can expect a great outdoor weekend. "Beautiful conditions to start the weekend - lots of sunshine, high pressure and a warm front in the upper atmosphere," said CTV London meteorologist Julie Atchison.
This high pressure area helps to stabilize the pleasant air. "That means no big weather systems coming in this weekend – full sun across the region."
A similar weather pattern is expected to continue as early next week approaches. "The sun will still be there on Sunday and Monday - temperatures will be higher than normal," Atchison said. Temperatures will be about five degrees above the seasonal average for this time of year.
Atchison warned that "the next air system will come in on Wednesday," a cold front will move through in the afternoon with showers, then temperatures will drop on Thursday.
**Weather forecast for London area:**
**Today:** Sunny. The morning fog clears. High temperature of 20 degrees. UV index: 4 (medium).
**Tonight:** Smooth. Fog forms after midnight. Low temperature of 5 degrees.
**Sunday:** Sunny. High temperature of 20 degrees.
**Monday:** Sunny. High temperature of 23 degrees.
**Tuesday:** Sunny. High temperature of 20 degrees.
