Twenty percent of Ontarians believe they will never be able to retire

About 20 percent of Ontarians believe they will never be able to retire due to lack of financial resources, rising costs of living and lack of job security, according to a new survey.

The survey, conducted by the Angus Reid Institute, shows that this concern is greater among women, young people and people with low incomes.

Some of the main reasons that Ontarians believe they will never be able to retire include:

Lack of savings: Many people have not saved enough for retirement.
Rising cost of living: The cost of housing, healthcare and other essentials are increasingly rising.
Lack of job security: Many people worry about losing their job and not being able to find a new job with decent pay and benefits.

These concerns can have a negative impact on people's health and well-being.

Potential solutions to this problem include:

Raise awareness about the importance of saving for retirement
Provide financial incentives for savings
Creating affordable retirement plans
Increasing support for the elderly

The Ontario government has recently taken steps to address the problem, including raising the retirement age and introducing a new program to help people save for retirement.

However, more needs to be done to ensure that all Ontarians are financially secure in retirement.
