The company, which released its annual traffic index on Thursday, ranked Toronto as the third busiest city in the world behind London and Dublin.

According to this index, it takes an average of 29 minutes to travel 10 kilometers in Toronto, which is 50 seconds longer than last year. People in Toronto are better off compared to Dublin where they cover the 10 km distance in 29 minutes and 30 seconds. In London, the city with the worst traffic in the world, people travel this distance in 37 minutes and 20 seconds.

According to the report, in 2023, Torontonians will spend an average of 98 hours in rush hour traffic. In comparison, Dubliners spent 158 hours and Londoners 148 hours in traffic.

According to the data, the worst day for Torontonians was November 30, when people took an average of 33 minutes to walk a 10-kilometre route. Wednesdays between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM were identified as the worst times of the week to drive in Toronto, with an average of 37 minutes and 50 seconds to cover a 10 km distance.

According to TomTom data, traffic in Canada's largest city is significantly worse than in the country's other major municipalities. In Vancouver, which is ranked 32nd, it takes an average of 23 minutes and 10 seconds to walk 10 kilometers. Montreal has the best commuting time among major Canadian cities, and it takes about 19 minutes to travel 10 kilometers in this city, which is ranked 103rd.
