Recall of a type of sunscreen due to possible fungal contamination
The Ministry of Health of Canada announced the recall of a type of sunscreen. So, before you use your sunscreen, check them On Thursday, the Department of Health recalled several lOTs of Suntegrity Impeccable sunscreen because of the possibility of fungal contamination. The ministry did not say how many of the products were sold in Canada.
The federal agency advised Canadians to consult their health care professionals before discontinuing the use of sunscreen if any concerns arise.
Suntegrity Skincare announced in an emergency online notice that it voluntarily recalled several products of the sunscreen on May 24.
The fungus in the product can lead to allergic reactions or primary fungal infections if used on open wounds or sunburned skin.
According to the company, if you purchased this product directly from their website or Amazon, please check the Lot Number, which is located on the back of the tube. Also, those who bought this product can email the company directly with the order number, product lot number, name and photo of the tube to get their money refunded.
The lot numbers are: 107IV, 107NU, 109NU, 117BU, 113SA, 114SA, 106BR and 101MO.
