Legendary Canadian actor Donald Sutherland has died at the age of 88
Kiefer Sutherland, the actor's son, published a post on X paying tribute to his late father, announcing that the Canadian legend has died at the age of 88. Born in New Brunswick, he spent his teenage years in Nova Scotia. He studied at the University of Toronto and pursued an acting career in England.
He achieved Hollywood success with his role in the 1967 World War II classic Twelve Men and his role as Hawkeye Pierce in Robert Altman's M.A.S.H. Sutherland became a major figure in Hollywood. In the 1970s, it was converted and has operated continuously since then. He was considered among the best actors for a long time, but he was never nominated for an Oscar.
In 2017, he received an honorary Academy Award for his professional achievement. He also has an Emmy Award and two Golden Globes in his career.
