‘I didn’t do this to just run’: Canadian hip hop artist runs 100 marathons in 100 days for men’s mental health
Accomplishing a major honor: A Canadian hip-hop artist ran 100 marathons in 100 days for men's mental health
Canadian hip-hop artist Dylan King says running 100 marathons in 100 days was not only the hardest thing he's ever done, but the "proudest achievement" of his entire life.
The native Torontonian, who currently lives in the city's west end, ran more than 4,200 kilometers over the summer to raise awareness about men's mental health.
King, 32, began his endurance challenge on June 17 and completed his 100th run on September 24 at Young-Dundas Square, with family, friends and supporters in attendance.
In addition to running 42 kilometers every day for more than three months straight, King recorded and posted daily messages on his social media, especially Instagram. In these messages, he shared his experiences, tools to overcome the difficult times of life and other learnings with others.
