Holding a free art and lighting festival in Vancouver
Vancouver will soon be lit up again with colorful lights and outdoor art festivals. The Vancouver Arts Winter Festival, now in its fourth year, will transform downtown public spaces into interactive outdoor art galleries from February 22-27. This art event will expand to Victoria for the first time in 2024 and will host artworks, mobile food stalls and live performances.
The Center for the Winter Arts Festival is located in Xwtl'e7énḵ šxwƛ̓ənaq Square (Art Gallery) north of the Vancouver Art Gallery and features special programs such as talks with the curators and the return of the mural series.
"Blanketing The City: Lighting the Way", which is part of the reconciliation process, will be held. Major lighting displays will be on display throughout the month of February on Vancouver's iconic landmarks. This festival not only offers an opportunity to experience art in the open air, but also promotes the cultural and artistic interaction of citizens.
