Here are some 2025 goal-setting tips according to an expert
According to Greenberg, the best way to make a decision achievable is to focus on process-oriented goals, rather than outcome-oriented goals. In an interview with CTV, she explained that process-oriented goals help us focus on things we do regularly, like reading for 15 minutes a day.
He also advised planning for potential challenges and having strategies to get back on track when problems do occur. Greenberg suggested that writing a letter to your future self can be very effective when faced with challenges.
"We don't always get to do exactly what we set out to do," Greenberg added. "So incorporating that into your New Year's resolutions can be an effective way to help yourself."
As the new year begins, she emphasized the importance of prioritizing self-care. Self-care includes paying attention to the needs of the body, mind, spirit and emotions.
Greenberg suggested that to support mental health, consider activities such as getting enough sleep, eating a balanced diet, social interactions, and engaging in meaningful activities. "These kinds of things can help us through the dark months, and it's important to pay attention to things that make you feel good," she added.
