Freezing drizzle advisory during morning traffic commute

A freezing rain warning has been issued for driving and walking conditions in Ontario.
For much of central Ontario, the National Weather Service advises that a freezing rain system will continue across our region through mid-day.
Areas most affected include: Barrie, Collingwood, Hillsdale, Orillia, Midland, Dufferin, Innisfil, Grey, Bruce, Owen Sound, Blue Mountains, Orangeville, Grand Valley, Shelburne and Mansfield.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, driveways and parking lots can become icy and slippery.
Freezing drizzle can create thin layers of ice that are hard to detect.
Environment Canada urges drivers to slow down in slippery conditions. Be careful with the front and rear lights and keep a safe distance.
