The Toronto Real Estate Board (TRREB) announced that the number of housing transactions in October this year decreased by 9.5 per cent compared to the same period last year.

The latest report states that the average home price in the Greater Toronto Area reached about $1,054,000 in October 2025, which is a 7.2 per cent decrease compared to the previous year.

In the City of Toronto, the average home price reached about $1,070,000, while in the suburbs of Toronto it is about $1,045,000.

TRREB experts believe that the housing market is currently more in favor of buyers, as prices have fallen and mortgage costs have also decreased with lower interest rates.

The president of the Toronto Real Estate Board also noted that buyers who are confident in their job status and ability to pay their installments can benefit from the current affordable conditions in the market.
