Former Colorado county clerk Tina Peters sentenced to 9 years for voting data scheme
Tiana Peters, a former county employee in Colorado, was sentenced to nine years in prison for her involvement in an election endorsement scheme. This issue started for false reasons about the rigging of voting machines in the 2020 presidential election. District Judge Matthew Barrett told Peters he had never taken his job seriously and had displayed deceptive behaviour. Peters was convicted of allowing a person to improperly use a City Security card to access a Mesa system and misrepresenting that person's identity. This person was associated with Mike Lindell, CEO of My Pillow, who promoted false claims of election fraud. In court, prosecutors said that Peter was seeking fame and that after contacting people who had questioned the president's election, he was cast on voting problems.
