Calgary Transit’s Red Line reopens after closures
After more than a week of alternative routes, Red Line passengers were able to resume their normal route on Monday morning.
The train has been closed for nine days from Victoria Park/Stampede Station to 39 Avenue Station since late last month.
The service disruption was to open the new Victoria Park/Stampede station and crews had to reroute from the old station to the new station.
When the work is fully completed, riders will enjoy a shorter walk to the platform and greater accessibility, the City of Calgary said.
The CTrain construction is part of a larger project that began in 2021 to extend 17th Street across the Macleod line.
