Attacking the owner with a hammer during the house robbery
The Halton Regional Police Service is investigating an armed robbery at an Oakville home in which a resident was struck in the face with a hammer.
According to the police, the incident happened around 4 am on Wednesday on Heritage Way. It is said that two suspects entered the house by breaking the glass of the front door.
According to City News, both suspects, who were wearing masks, made it to the upper floor of the house. One of the suspects confronted a man from the house and demanded the switch of the Mercedes SUV that was parked on the street.
Then the suspect hit one of the residents in the face with a hammer, took the switch and fled in a car.
The suspects are both male and were last seen wearing dark clothing. Investigators are asking the public to report any video footage of the incident at 4 a.m. Wednesday in the area of Heritage Way.
