A driver has been killed in a fatal crash in Algonquin Provincial Park
Last week, a car collided with a tractor-trailer, killing the driver of the car in Algonquin Provincial Park.
Emergency responders responded to the crash on Dec. 8 at about 3:50 p.m., police said in a statement Tuesday. on Highway 60 near the Hemlock Bluff trailhead in the southern part of the park.
The investigation revealed that a tractor-trailer was traveling westbound and a car was traveling eastbound on the highway when the two collided. The driver of the car died on the spot.
The person who died was a 57-year-old man from Mississauga. No other details were provided.
The highway was closed while the OPP investigated the crash.
No charges have been filed.
