2 women face charges after Amber Alert issued in Quebec
Two women are facing criminal charges after an Amber Alert was issued in Quebec early Tuesday morning. The child, whose identity cannot be released due to youth protection, was found safe and sound in York, Ontario. The two accused, Rui Xu Yang , 65, and Xin Wang, 48, face one charge of abducting a child from Bravaissard, on Montreal's South Shore, "with the intent to imprison or confine him against his will."
They also face a charge of kidnapping "with the intent to send or transfer him outside of Canada against his will." The two women are scheduled to be transported from Ontario to Quebec on Wednesday by the Quebec Provincial Police. Attorneys general explain that the women are not allowed to contact the victim or any other witnesses in the case. They also except They do not have the right to speak to each other in the presence of their lawyers. A bail hearing is scheduled for Thursday morning at the Lungui court.
